Shubman Gill Family

Shubman Gill Family, he was born in Fazilka, Punjab, India on September 8, 1999 to a Jatt Sikh family. His father, Lakhwinder Singh, is an agriculturist and his mother, Keart Gill, is a homemaker. He has an elder sister, Shahneel Gill.

Lakhwinder Singh had always wanted to be a cricketer but could not fulfil his dreams. He saw his son’s potential at an early age and decided to make him a good cricketer. He created a cricket ground in his farm for Gill’s practice and a turf pitch to play. He used to challenge village boys to take his lad’s wicket and if they were successful he would give them 100 rupees for it.Gill’s family moved from Fazilka to Mohali when he was 10 years old so that he could have better access to cricket facilities.

He attended Manav Mangal Smart School in Mohali and played cricket for his school team. He also represented Punjab at the state level. In 2014, Gill was selected for the India Under-19 team. He made his Under-19 debut against Sri Lanka in the same year. He was the leading run-scorer for India in the 2016 Under-19 World Cup, which India won. Gill made his international debut for India team in 2018. He has played in Test, ODI, and T20I cricket for India. He is considered to be one of the most promising young batsmen in India. Shubman Gill family is very supportive of his cricket career. They are always there to cheer him on and they are very proud of his achievements.
