Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf, alongside Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, unveiled the national team’s World Cup kit in Lahore today.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashraf said this jersey represents Pakistan’s spirit and determination as they are already sitting on the number one position in the ODI format.
“We have kept Pakistan’s star and flag on the chest which represents our identity. I am hopeful that our team, who is already number one in ODIs, will win the World Cup in India.”
Babar Azam and Co have returned to their country after winning their 3-match ODI match series against Afghanistan in Sri Lanka. Following a whitewash against the Afghan side, Pakistan has now acquired the Number#1 position in the ICC ODI team rankings.
Star Nation Jersey:
Pakistan Cricket Team has revealed their World Cup 2023 kit ahead of the Asia Cup. The special kit that Babar Azam and co will don during the ICC World Cup. The kit is named ‘Star Nation Jersey’, with a star and Pakistan flag on the chest. Pakistan has gone for the retro type in their kits, with the jerseys having collars.

Pakistan Cricket Team Asia Cup Campaign:
Pakistan will kick start their Asia Cup 2023 Campaign against Nepal on August 30 at Multan. They will go toe-to-toe with arch-rivals India on September 2 at Kandy in Sri Lanka. After the conclusion of the Asia Cup comes the mega event, the ICC World Cup, in October.
Pakistan Cricket Team World Cup Campaign:
The ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 commences on Thursday, October 5, with the event culminating in the final on Sunday, November 19. Reports in Pakistan claim that Babar Azam and Co will depart for Hyderabad on September 28 to begin their preparation and take part in the World Cup Warm-Up games that commence on September 29. Pakistan will start their World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on October 6 in Hyderabad. They will play against their arch-rivals India in a much-awaited contest on October 14 in Ahmedabad.
The tournament will be played in ten venues – Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata. Guwahati Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad will host the warm-up matches from September 29 to October 3.
