The 2023 Cricket World Cup format will be the same as the traditional 50-over format, providing a lot of excitement and anticipation for cricket enthusiasts worldwide. This edition will feature 10 teams battling it out for the ultimate glory. Total 48 matches will be played in 2023.

The top eight teams of world cricket secure automatic berths in the tournament; the remaining two spots are determined through a qualification round. Sri Lanka and the Netherlands are the lucky teams that confirm their berth for the main event of the ICC Cricket World Cup. Consequently, only some test-playing nations will have the opportunity to participate in this highly anticipated event.

It is worth noting that when India last hosted the Cricket World Cup in 2011, they emerged victorious, etching their name in history as the first team to secure victory on home soil. This remarkable feat further solidifies India’s reputation as a cricketing powerhouse and adds an extra layer of excitement and expectation for the upcoming tournament.

As the Cricket World Cup 2023 draws to a close, cricket enthusiasts can look forward to the highly anticipated final, scheduled for 19 November. The stage is set for an exhilarating clash between the top teams vying for the prestigious trophy, ensuring a fitting conclusion to this grand event.

The First match of the world cup will be played between England and New Zealand on 5 October 2023 in Narendra Modi Stadium, and the Final of the Mega Event will be on 19 November 2023 at one of the biggest cricket stadiums, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
