Azmatullah Omarzai Cricket Career, and he is an Afghan cricketer who plays as an all-rounder. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in January 2021.
Omarzai was born in Nangarhar, Afghanistan in 2000. He made his first-class debut for Speen Ghar Region in the 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament. He made his List A debut for Mis Ainak Region in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament. Omarzai was named in Afghanistan squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Azmatullah Omarzai played in three matches, scoring 47 runs and taking two wickets in his cricket career. In December 2018, he was named in Afghanistan’s under-23 team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. He played in three matches, scoring 57 runs and taking two wickets.

In November 2019, he was named in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. He played in three matches, scoring 81 runs and taking three wickets. In February 2020, he was named in Afghanistan’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Ireland. He made his T20I debut for Afghanistan, against Ireland, on 27 February 2020. In January 2021, he was named in Afghanistan’s One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against Ireland. He made his ODI debut for Afghanistan team, against Ireland, on 21 January 2021. In September 2020, he was the joint winner of the player of the tournament award in the 2020 Shpageeza Cricket League. As of August 2023, Omarzai has played 13 ODIs and 10 T20Is for Afghanistan. He has scored 137 runs and taken 8 wickets in ODIs, and 56 runs and 5 wickets in T20Is. Omarzai is a promising all-rounder who is still developing his game. He has the potential to be a key player for Afghanistan in the future.
