Agar made his international debut in the first Ashes Test against England at Trent Bridge in 2013. He came in to bat at number 11 with Australia in trouble at 117 for 9. Agar batted with great skill and determination, scoring 98 runs, the highest score by a number 11 in Test history. He also took 2 wickets in the match, including the wicket of Alastair Cook.
