Agar made his international debut in the first Ashes Test against England at Trent Bridge in 2013. He came in to bat at number 11 with Australia in trouble at 117 for 9. Agar batted with great skill and determination, scoring 98 runs, the highest score by a number 11 in Test history. He also took 2 wickets in the match, including the wicket of Alastair Cook.
Agar was dropped from the Test team after the 2013 Ashes series, but he returned to the side in 2017. He has since played in 4 more Test matches, taking 19 wickets. Agar has also been a regular member of Australia’s white-ball teams.
