Shafique made his first-class debut for Central Punjab in the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He scored 133 runs in his first innings, and was named the Player of the Match. In September 2020, he made his Twenty20 debut for Central Punjab in the 2020–21 National T20 Cup.
